Job Summary
The Engagement Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing student-centered clubs/programs for youth in grades 6-12, promoting healthy lifestyles and inclusivity. This role collaborates with YMCA leadership to create engaging after-school sports and recreation activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience facilitating instruction with youth requiring academic intervention
- Skilled in general youth programs group or classroom management
- Ability to take initiative in implementing engaging academic activities
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Understanding of working with teens, group management, and group work
- Experience engaging middle and high school youth in various areas of personal development
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification in language arts or mathematics education
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certified
